Talk about a special kit! In 1984 Ludwig produced less than 100 of these Eagle-inlaid 9 ply Maple kits to commemorate their 75th Anniversary. These were some of the last drums to come out of the Chicago factory before Ludwig made the move to Monroe, NC. This kit could be considered a real collector's item to a Ludwig enthusiast due to the rarity and exceptional condition! This kit even features the very sought after original front head with the classic logo and Eagle! 

14 x 22 - No eagle inlay on this one. There is some rash from each rack tom on the top of the drum on each side of the center mount. A few other small nicks and scratches can be found around the shell (see photos). 20x original lugs, claws and tension rods are clean, no corrosion or pitting to be found. Telescoping curved spurs and matching maple hoops. Edges and shell interior are pristine. Kit comes with double tom arm. 

11 x 12 - Very clean drum, with just two small blemishes of note. When looking at the drum head-on, there is a small ding in the finish above the left eagle wing just inside the wingtip, and an even smaller mark directly to the left of the wingtip (see photo). Hardware is all original down to the tension rods, and has some fingerprints and smudges, but it free from pitting and corrosion. Chrome would polish up like new if desired. Edges and shell interior are pristine.

12 x 13 - This drum is also very clean, but has a few light scratches on the finish in a few spots. There is one small blemish directly above the eagle head (see photo). All original hardware, a little bit of haze on the lugs, but no corrosion or pitting. Chrome would polish up like new if desired. Edges and shell interior are pristine.

16 x 16 - This drum has a few more cosmetic flaws than the other two toms, but is still in great overall shape. Scratches are most noticeable on the darker walnut eagle inlay. A few other nicks and scratches can be found around the shell, but nothing noticeable from a short distance. Hardware is free from pitting and corrosion, just has some light haze that would polish out easily. Floor tom legs are all Ludwig, but have three different rubber feet. Edges and shell interior are pristine.
