1963/1966 Slingerland in Black Sparkle - 14x20, 9x13, 12x15

A fun little orphan kit - all in original Black Sparkle finish! A hodgepodge, but fun sizes that sound great! An excellent player's kit with a ton of charm. 

14 x 20 - Mahogany Interior. No Extra holes. Interior is scratched up a decent bit. Sparkle finish has a slightly lavender hue to it, which is very cool. Features 16x lugs, 14x T- rods (2x tension rods) & 16x claws, 2x telescopic spur mounts, and the original holes for a rail mount and cymbal mount (mounts missing). Chrome is in good shape, with expected wear - general tarnish, light pitting on the mounts/lugs, light rust on some claws. Finish is overall pretty clean, seam is tight. Normal marks here and there from use. 

9 x 13 - JAN 1966 date stamped Mahogany Interior. Factory no badge. No extra holes. Features 12x small lugs, 12x Slingerland tension rods, 2x unoriginal triple flanged hoops, round knob muffler, and Set-O-Matic mount. Hardware is in good shape, but does show general tarnish and some light rust on the hoops. Finish in good shape overall, with normal scratches here and there. Seam is tight. 

12 x 15 - JUN 1963 date stamped Maple Interior. This drum is a converted marching snare that was added to the other two. There are quite a few extra holes form marching mounts in the shell. 10 extra holes over all - 8 have been filled and painted, two small ones remain open. the original holes for the strainer and butt are filled and painted over. Sparkle finish is more silver, with less lavender hue. Hardware is in good shape, with normal tarnish on the lugs & hoops. One leg mount is stripped. The wrap is generally clean, but shows some "eyebrowing" and cracking around some of the batter lugs, as can be seen in the photos.
