A great Gretsch classic in a highly sought after finish! These 3 ply 50's era drums are something special and their own thing even compared to the 60's Round Badge drums. This specific example is almost all original! (sans heads). It features 8x double-ended lugs, 16x Gretsch tension rods, 2x thinner Stickchopper style hoops, Micro-Adjust throw-off, Gretsch "Responso" 16 strand wires, and a Round knob muffler. The finish on this drum is unfortunately somewhat faded from the original, with a more copper undertone. Otherwise the finish is free of any heavy wear, and has been polished. The hardware shows it's age with some subtle corrosion - pitting on the hoops and lugs, minute rust on the tension rods, and some rust on the internals of the throw-off. All in all the drum presents itself nicely and honestly for being 70 years old, and still sounds great as you can imagine!
