Here is a drum to glean the interest of vintage drum enthusiasts, studio pros, and Gretsch aficionados alike. A true gem and Gretsch staple - the "Max Roach" Signature Progressive Jazz in 4" depth. This particular one is pretty much all original (sans heads). It is also in great condition and has been cleaned. The only real issue with the drum is some cracking in the Clear of the finish that resides under the top head. It goes around almost all of the drum's circumference, but luckily can't really be seen when the drum is assembled, but still bears being mentioned. This drum features 8x small Gretsch lugs, 16x Gretsch tension rods, 2x Gretsch Die-Cast hoops, Micro-Adjust Strainer & Butt, Gretsch "Responso" 12 strand wires, and a Round Knob Muffler. The Chrome is in good shape, showing very minimal pitting. The tension rods show almost no rust at all. Finish is maybe ever so slightly faded, but pretty true to color with subtle lilac undertone more so that the faded copper look you sometimes see. The seam is lifting a touch, but not brittle.
