HeadHunters Jingle Springs
Are similar to our Jingles Things. The noticeable difference is the additions of the compression spring. The compression spring adds a lively bounce and allows the player to execute multiple rebounds and more complex rhythmic patterns at lower dynamic levels. A ½ inch nylon bead centered in the compression spring pulls attack and focus from the drums and cymbals as the spring compresses and the bead makes contact with the playing surface.
(Jingle Things incorporate a 45mm mallet head onto a drum stick platform. The mallet head is flattened on one side and a tambourine jingle is mounted onto this side of the mallet head. On the opposite side a nylon bead is embedded at the surface level. The Jingle sound produced is somewhat like a headed tambourine as the bottom jingle ‘claps’ onto the flattened surface while the top jingle can resonate and ring freely. The nylon bead helps produce just enough cymbal and drum sounds so as not to overwhelm the single pair of jingles. This unique positioning of the jingle places the jingle at the maximum travel point of the host stick allowing the jingle to speak at its maximum output.)
