1930’s Ludwig & Ludwig 'Standard' in Avalon Pearl- 5x14

The presence of holes for an internal muffler date this drum to 1933 at the earliest, as that was the first year an internal muffler appeared on these drums in catalogs. The muffler itself, sadly, is not present.

This solid shell mahogany beauty sports 10 original brass tube lugs, original brass hoops, and original timepiece throw off and butt plate. Most of the clips appear to be original, five of which are definite replacements (3x on the batter side, 2x on the reso side). Tension rods and snare wires have been replaced. Avalon Pearl wrap is in great condition and has aged evenly to an antique yellow, with a slightly darker band at the seam of the wrap (see photo).
