1940s Slingerland Rolling Bomber in Black & Gold - 7x14

A special offering! These do not pop up often and are quite coveted for all their unique quirks! This one has been carefully restored to as close to it’s former glory as could be done, blending original parts with new reproduction parts. This is refinish, but done pretty accurately to the original and with lacquer paint. Some of the wooden lugs are original, and some are reproductions. Hoops are original with inlay, but the gate on one side of the bottom hoop has been repaired (crack glued and a metal brace screwed in). Both hoops exhibit some slight warped, which is very common for these, but drum tunes up fine. Claws all appear original, as do the bottom tension rods, but the top tension rods are new. The strainer is complete. and functions, sporting a reproduction arm. New snare wires. New calf heads both top and bottom. For what these are, this one holds it’s tune and sounds good!
