1980s Ludwig Combo Vistalite in Red - 14x22, 9x13, 16x16

This little Vistalite Combo kit is red hot! The Combo line was introduced as a low-cost entry level kit around 1980. This one is unique in that it came to us sporting Standard-style lugs. These kits initially were sold with plastic lugs, but Ludwig soon after started selling these with classic lugs. We're unsure if this one came from the factory with these Standard lugs, or if a previous owner swapped out classic lugs for the Standards. Either way, it's a great look!

14x22 - Shell is in good shape! Clean with some light scratching in spots. No major blemishes or cracks. 20x Standard lugs are clean, with some light pitting here and there. 20x original rods and claws. Curved spurs are Danmar reproduction. Hoops show some decent wear and tear and are both missing the inlay. Foil badge is slightly lifted at one corner.

9x13 - Shell is clean overall, with a handful of noticeable scratches on the badge panel and an adjacent panel. No cracks! 6x Standard lugs are clean with some light pitting and a couple of which are scratched up a bit. Original Ludwig hoop is clean overall. Mounting bracket is clean but shows some pitting. Foil badge has a little bubbling at the top center. 

16x16 - Shell is clean and free from cracks! It does have some light dings and scratches, but nothing major. 8x Standard lugs are clean, but some are a bit scratched up and most show some light pitting. Original hoop is clean. One of the wing nuts on one of the floor tom leg brackets has one "wing" broken off (see photo) but it still tightens down just fine. Legs are not original. Foil badge is in great shape, no lifting or bubbling.
