1960s Rogers Dayton, Oh Kit in Silver Sparkle - 9x13, 16x16, 14x20

This is a unique kit in the sense the bass drum & rack tom are both virgin shells, no mounts were drilled in either. This makes this a bit more rare & special, to the right person! They tun up and down beautifully, as you'd imagine! It's more common to have a 8x12, 16x16, 14x20 for this era - the catalog would call this a 'Headliner' kit. However, this kit is believed to be a custom order regarding the 13" is original to the kit and the virgin shells would suggest it being a custom request. All shells have very even fade in color!

14x20: Shell is in round & all looks good on the interior. The Cleveland tag was re-glued, original there was a Dayton, Oh tag. All original hardware, no mods or replacements. The wrap has a few small sections where the wrap has some small chunks that were probably ding'd out. They almost appear to be cigarette burns & our educated guess would be that was exactly it but there's no proof as to why. Original spurs are in great standing shape! Both hoops have inlay, reso side is completely there while the batter is missing a small section, see photo. If you've never played a 60's Rogers 20" bass drum, this is a secret sauce to so many classic records of the time and current!

16x16: Interior is very clean with the original tag present too. The only non-original hardware on this shell is batter hoop & a handful of the tension rods. Original swivomatic leg mounts and legs are in good shape, no stripped rods. The wrap on this shell is in the best shape of the 3,.There's a few small blemishes and scratches but the only more noticeable issue really is one larger blemish/scuffing between two lugs under the batter hoop, see photo. Overall, pretty good shape however. There is a bit of tape residue around the where the internal muffler would have been, the internal muffler is missing as well. Sounds beautiful, great players floor!

9x13: Interior is in great shape with original tag present. The reso hoop is original while the batter triple flange is not. They do match nicely however, only the deep drum nerds could really tell, ha! In my opinion, this may be the roughest of the 3 shells with the exterior wrap. Few small chunks were ding'd out, some discoloration in areas, and some small cancer specks as well. There is a larger blemish/rash between two lugs under the batter hoop, see photo. There's a few small very thin splits in wrap, common and nothing of concern. Internal muffler is present and functions as should. Killer players tom, sounds great!
